Ribby Hall Village – Sports Hall Heating Solution

Following the successful installation of Global Energy Systems air source heat pumps across their accommodation properties, Ribby Hall Holiday Village selected the same trusted technology for the heating of their renovated sports hall.

Global Energy Systems designed and installed a system featuring one air source heat pump in a bi-valent configuration with a gas boiler, ensuring reliable and efficient performance year-round. The system provides heat to the badminton hall via fan convectors, while underfloor heating serves the adjoining studio spaces.

The installation has successfully maintained comfortable temperatures throughout the winter months, supporting both performance and visitor experience. In addition, the system is accredited under the non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), enabling the site to receive financial payments over a 20-year period.

This project highlights how a well-designed hybrid heat pump system can deliver efficient, reliable heating for large leisure facilities while offering long-term financial and environmental benefits.
