Luxury Holiday Let With Hot Tub

When developing this new-build luxury holiday let, the cost of extending a mains gas supply led the owners to seek an alternative, more sustainable solution. They partnered with Global Energy Systems to install a 15kW air source heat pump, providing both heating and domestic hot water via a radiator system.

The system delivers efficient, low-carbon heating with running costs comparable to mains gas – recorded at £924 annually (2014) – while achieving an estimated 10–15% reduction in carbon emissions and avoiding the significant expense of a new gas connection.

In addition, the on-site hot tub is powered by a 9kW London air source heat pump, capable of handling full water refills between guest changeovers and operating year-round. With annual running costs of £404 (2014), the system offers similar cost efficiency to gas while delivering a potential carbon saving of over 3 tonnes.

This integrated approach provides a simple, efficient, and fully electric energy solution, combining strong environmental performance with reliable comfort for guests.
