Installer instructed by the property owner to carry out installation and apply for BUS grant
If you live in England or Wales you can apply for £5,000 towards your new air source heat pump
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a UK government scheme that aims to help reduce carbon emissions by encouraging householders in England and Wales to switch to low-carbon heating systems such as air source heat pumps in place of existing gas or oil heating. The scheme offers up to £5,000 to assist with the upfront costs of upgrading to air source heat pumps. The scheme will run from 2022 to 2028 and is not means-tested.
If you live in Scotland, you can apply for an interest-free loan to pay for energy efficiency improvements upfront, including air source heat pumps. There are also grants for low-income households in Scotland and in Wales.
