Air source Heat pump grants - Global Energy Systems

Government Grant of £7,500 to Support Air Source Heat Pump Installation

From April 2022, households will be able to access government grants of up to £7,500 to support the transition from traditional gas boilers to air source heat pumps. This initiative forms part of the Government’s broader strategy to accelerate the adoption of low-carbon heating solutions and reduce national carbon emissions.

The grant is designed to encourage homeowners to choose air source heat pumps as a cleaner, more sustainable alternative to gas boilers. As part of its long-term environmental objectives, the Government has committed to phasing out the sale of new gas boilers by 2035, with the ultimate goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Air source heat pumps work by extracting heat from the air, ground, or water—much like a refrigerator in reverse. When powered by low-carbon electricity, heat pumps offer an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly way to heat homes.

Global Energy Systems has been a leading UK manufacturer of air source heat pumps for many years. Our systems can deliver significant reductions in heating costs, while also helping homeowners reduce their environmental impact.
